By ordering any wine or spirits product at 800wine.com, you certify under penalty of perjury that you and the recipient are at least 21 years old. Upon delivery, the recipient will also be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years old. The willful misrepresentation of your age or the age of the recipient for the purpose of obtaining alcoholic beverage products is a crime in most states, and if you willfully misrepresent your age or the age of the recipient, 800wine will cooperate with authorities to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.


How can 800wine ship a bottle of wine across state lines? Isn't that illegal?

In many cases, it is illegal to ship alcoholic products across state lines. 800wine, however, does not actually ship products to recipients; local licensed retailers do. Our nationwide network of retailers enables us to have product shipped locally in nearly every case (from within the recipient's state in most cases). In this way we ensure that all shipments are made legally and in total compliance with the three-tiered system, in which product flows from the producer to the wholesaler and on to the retailer. At the same time, this shipping system enables us to offer the fastest and lowest cost delivery anywhere. Please note that because of varying state laws, 800wine cannot offer delivery of alcoholic products in the following states:
